First Time.

03Apr08
I can’t contain myself. I’m calling everybody I know and everybody that I’ve shared my struggles of finding a new job, and feeling like something wasn’t right. However, all of that has changed. I finally, finally… was offered an awesome position working with Lahey Clinic. This news comes just in time, a perfect time because I recently received another rejection from a college that I really wanted to work for, however they chose someone that they met earlier in the week, but didn’t give any specifics on as to why I wasn’t hired. I mean, I’d rather know why I wasn’t hired for XXX position because maybe there’s an area I need to improve upon, and can keep that in mind for the future. Just a thought.
I just need to get my wardrobe ready and appropriate for a new job.

I totally understand where you’re coming from. I, too, don’t understand why employers can’t/won’t be bothered to give an applicant some advice on where they might need to improve in order to find a specific job in a specific industry. I mean, do they really think we know ourselves as well as they think we do? Apparently, or else they’d be busting open with unsolicited advice! But anyway, I know how grueling the job hunt can be in these tight economic times. So here’s a Huzzah! (Ren-fest term for “hurray”) for you…
