That’s Fab.

Not too long ago I went to an Origins retail store to apply for a job. If you didn’t know, I had worked for Origins as a Counter Manager when Filene’s existed. I’ve been with Origins for almost a year. A year come November (the day after Thanksgiving). Anways, so when I went in to check in on my application, the Store Manager, Barbara, told me that she was hiring for the holiday season. Starting in mid November. I’m just thinking that’s September, so what am I to do for a month? Good things happened because she called me yesterday, asking if I am able to come in on Thursday for “a chat”.

Our chat was pretty casual. Low and behold, I got the damn job. It’s not a damn job, it’s a job I have wanted and soely deserved but never, ever been given the chance to work there. Most of the stores in Boston have been given a make-over and they looks so pretty inside. An unpexected package. I have always wanted to work in that store versus a department store because of the setting. I wasn’t even expecting this because I had been away from the company for three months because of treatment. But this is so awesome and totally fab. Plus, I was offered my pay that I was making prior (minus the twenty-five cents). Not only am I an Origins Guide, but also a Keyholder. This means I have extra responsibilities. It’s kind of like I’m in a form of level one management. Pretty damn cool…

I’m expected to start in a week or two. So cool.
